Get To Know Me

Hello all!!

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day and life and spending it with me!!

I want to start this post off with an apology because it's been almost 2 weeks since I've posted.  At first I was nervous about blogging because I thought that no one would care what I had to say, but I got over that quickly.  Now, I love blogging and I love reviewing products and giving advice, but I think the reason why I haven't posted anything is because really, no one knows me.

I'm the type of person, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, who thinks, ok if I'm gonna take advice from someone, I want to know them.  Are you like that too?

So, I'm gonna open this post up (and myself) to all of you.  If there is anything that you would like to know about me, please leave a comment here or Tweet me @kaineeta1 or through Facebook and don't forget to like me on Facebook.

Also, if there is a product out there that you're unsure of, let me know.  I'll do my best to review it.

Aveda's Blue Malva Shampoo and Conditioner

Hello all!! Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day and life and spending it with me!!
Today I want to talk to you about Aveda's Blue Malva Shampoo and Conditioner.

I have naturally dark brown/black hair and although my stylist is amazing, sometimes the 4 hour process of getting my hair from dark brown/black to blonde leaves some of my hi-lites looking orange/golden.  I have tried many blonde shampoos including AG Silver Shampoo and Conditioner and didn't notice a difference at all.  Then I discovered Aveda's Blue Malva and this stuff is amazing!!  I've been using it for about 6 months now and everyone has noticed a difference in my blonde and thinks that I just got my hi-lites done (I got them done in early November)!!!  It leaves my hair soft and manageable and its smells sooo good too.

So for all you blondes and wanna be blondes like me, go buy this shampoo and conditioner.  You'll thank me, trust me.

If you have any questions or would like me to review a product, please leave a comment.  Also, like me on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/NailsMakeupAndOtherStuff

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Nude Palette

Hello all!!

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day and life and spending it with me!!
Today I want to talk about Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips in Nude.  This palette works for any eye color.  The colors are nicely pigmented and not too shimmery and the brush it comes with is very easy to use to create a flawless look.  The colours all work well together and very easy to create a nude/smokey look as well as a nude/neutral look and ranges from $10 - $14 CAD.

Physicians Formula

There are some comparisons to Urban Decay's Naked 2 palette which is $60 CAD as well as Too Faced Naked Eye palette which is $46 CAD, both can be found at Sephora.

Urban Decay

Too Faced

But if you want to save some money or are just starting to build an eyeshadow collection, go for the Physicians Formula palette.

I hope this review helps.  Also, if there's a product out there that you'd like me to review or if you haev any suggestions (good or bad), please let me know.

Neutrogena Anti Residue Shampoo

Hello all!!

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day and life and spending it with me!!

Today I want to talk to you about Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo.  This treatment instantly removes up to 95% of dulling residue caused by shampoos, conditioners and styling products.

I have to wash my hair everyday because if I don't, it's gets very oily and greasy.  I know, I know, I've heard it a million times before, my hair is oily because I wash it everyday so I'm not doing myself any favours there.  I also have very fine hair that has no body or lift and won't keep curls in without a lot of product because my scalp produces too much oil.  Some shampoos don't lift the oil so you're left with flat hair that doesn't have any movement or bounce to it.  This shampoo will make all the difference in the world!!

It's recommended to use this shampoo once a week and then go back to your favourite shampoo the rest of the days and you'll see a HUGE difference!!

I was a little uncertain about using conditioner after shampooing, but I did use conditioner and it was still great.  And for about $7 for a bottle, you can't go wrong, especially if you're only using it once a week.

Please take note, if you have dry hair, I would not recommend using this shampoo because it might dry your hair out even more.

I hope this product and review helps!!

Liquid Leather vs. Black Expressionism

Hello all!!

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day and life and spending it with me!!

Today I want to talk to you about black nail polish.  I personally love black nail polish.  I love the way it looks and I love how it's now acceptable to wear year round rather than just at Hallowe'en.   What I don't like is having to put on 5+ coats so that it actually looks black.  Enter Finger Paints Black Expressionism.  Remember how I said that I finally had a chance to get to Sally Beauty Supply?  This is one of the nail polish colours I bought and let me tell you, it's quickly becoming a favourite.

Here is China Glaze Liquid Leather:

As you can see in the bottle, it looks very dark and highly pigmented.

Here is Finger Paints Black Expressionism:

Again, looks very dark and highly pigmented as well.

And here we have finger with one coat of Black Expressionism and one finger with one coat of Liquid Leather:

So there you have it!!  Finger Paints Black Expressionism is the clear winner!!  So go out and get yours today from Sally Beauty Supply!!
After only 2 coats

I hope that you find this comparison helpful!!
