Today I want to talk to you about Sephora and the Nars Orgasm line.

Up until a few years ago, a lot of Canadians didn't know about Sephora and the ones who did, shopped in the US.  Sephora, like this blog, is your one stop shop for all things necessary.  The Sephora chain now includes more that 750 shops world wide and carries over 250 brands, including their own private brand.  You can beauty items such as make-up, skin care, fragrances, bath and body products, hair products, and hair and make-up tools.  Like I said, it's your one stop shop.

Not only that, Sephora stands by their products and will issue you a full refund as long as you have your receipt.  This is on all their products, including opened and used ones.  If you don't have your receipt, you will receive an in store credit.  There is no other company that will do this, trust me.

You can also join Sephora's Beauty Insider rewards program that offers customers coupons, discounts and points.  The program is available to all Sephora customers and it's FREE!!!!  Beauty Insider members also receive gifts on their birthdays and when you spend $350 in a calendar year (this is very easy to do) you are then upgraded to a Very Important Beauty Insider membership (VIB)!!!

Ok, onto Nars.  

Nars Orgasm Blush:

This has to be the best blush in the world.  It is very versatile and compliments any and every skin tone.  Don't be afraid of the colour, it looks very bright pink, but it's not.  I know that you're thinking, what's the hype about this blush, right??  Well, let me tell you.  Orgasm is gorgeous!!!  It gives you this glow, like no other product I've ever tried.  This stuff is truly amazing!!  Go out and buy it, trust me.  It's worth every penny!!  (and if for some reason you don't like it, remember Sephora will refund you)

I originally had only the blush, but now I have the highlighting/bronzer duo that's comes with Orgasm and Laguna.  These shades are amazing and universal to any skin tone and will make you look like your glowing.

Nars Orgasm Lip Gloss:

The colour is sort of a pinky peach with a nice shimmer.  I hate sticky/goopy lip gloss, you know the kind, where you hair sticks to it!!  YUCK!!  This stuff is non-sticky and extremely moisturizing.  I love this stuff!!  The brush is small and precise, perfect for small mouthes and it stays on for quite some time and the shine is just perfect.

Finger Paints

Hello all!!  

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day and life and spending it with me!! 

This weekend, I finally got a chance to go to Sally Beauty Supply.  Sally was having a sale on nail polish, buy 2 get 1 free.  It's a good place to stock up on beauty products because it's open to the public, you don't have to be a hair stylist or an esthatician to shop there. 

I've always wanted a green nail polish, one that will look good with my skin tone, but I haven't been able to find one, until now!

It is a little darker than I thought it would be, but I still love the way it looks.  
This is my first time trying Finger Paints Nail Polish so I'll have to get back to you about how long it lasts!!

Sally Hansen Salon Effect Nail Polish Strips

Today I'm going to be reviewing Sally Hansen's Nail Polish Strips

This is a great item, in theory.  There is no mess, easy clean up and no drying time!!!

I tried the Blue Ice colour.  Since I am right handed, my left hand looked amazing!!  

I'm not gonna show you my right hand, let's not go there!!  

Anyways, it took me about 45 minutes for both hands since it was my first time using them (still really good considering all the time I saved)

After a few hours, I noticed the strips starting to lift at my cuticles and I couldn't smooth them down and since i was out, I didn't have any clear nail polish with me to help keep them down.  

And then, this is what my hand looked like at the end of the night:

Sorry Sally Hansen, your nail polish strips are not for me, not matter how much "drying time" you saved me.

Introduction

Hello all!!  


Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day and life and spending it with me!!  I love everything that has to do with nails and make-up, but I will have posts about other things too.
My love for nails began at an early age, but I could never grow my nails.  I am a nail biter!  I know, I know, it's such a disgusting habit, but for me, it's a nervous thing.
For all of you out there who have the same problem as me, here's a little hint:
No matter how ugly you think your hands look, trust me, they don't.  We can all have beautiful, manicured finger!!  All you need is some patience and nail polish!!!!
I've stopped biting my nails and I'm gonna share some of my pointers with all of you and I hope that you're just as successful as I am!!


Step 1:
STOP BITING YOUR NAILS!!  That's an obvious one, right?  It's a lot easier said than done, trust me, I know!!


Step 2:
File your nails (whatever is left of them) into a rounded shape

Step 3:
Buff and polish your nails.  My favourite one is from thebodyshop.ca

Step 4:
Take care of your cuticles, your nails will thank you!!
My favourite is from www.sephora.com and it's the L'Occitane Cuticle and Nail Cream.  This cream contains Shea Butter and does not contain any parabens or synthetic dyes (you want to avoid that kind of stuff, they'll dry our your skin in 3 seconds flat!!)

Step 5:
Apply your favourite nail polish and top coat.


You will get the urge to bite your nails, that's for sure, but you will take a moment to think about it first because you have nail polish on.  The nail polish acts as a protector in this case.  If you feel like you still wanna bite your nails, my trick is, I actually start to peel the nail polish off (NEVER SWALLOW NAIL POLISH).  In the first 2 weeks, when I starting growing my nails, I put nail polish on like 10 times!!  


After 2 weeks, you'll start to see the white of your nails coming along and you'll feel soooo proud of yourself.  


After the 2 weeks, you can re-file your nails into whatever shape you think suits you.  I personally like the square look with rounded edges, kinda like this:

And keep following the same steps as above.  
After about a month (depending on how fast your nails grow), pat yourself on the back, YOU'VE DONE IT!!!!!!!  Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!
